Google launched its AI-powered desktop search app for Windows on April 15. The app uses Gemini AI and is activated via Alt+Space, enabling searches across the web, local files, and Google Drive. It integrates Google Lens for on-screen content search and screen sharing for AI queries. Currently available in English for Windows 10+, Google is also developing a macOS version to compete with rivals like ChatGPT.
