ZTE Partners With Tencent to Launch AI Cloud PC Featuring Native Hunyuan Large Model Integration

China’s "AI + PC" and cloud infrastructure sectors are undergoing a major cross-industry integration. At the AI Cloud Computer Experience Day event on June 3rd, ZTE officially announced a deep strategic partnership with Tencent. The two companies will collaborate to launch a new AI cloud computer featuring Tencent’s native office intelligent agent, WorkBuddy, signaling that consumer and enterprise cloud terminals are rapidly entering the large model era.
This collaboration goes beyond a simple hardware-software combination, representing a deep integration of underlying technical architectures. This series of AI cloud computers will cover all ZTE cloud terminal categories, with systems pre-installed with WorkBuddy and natively integrated with Tencent’s Huan Yuan large model and cloud computing resources. By combining cloud computing power with high-density intelligence in local hardware, the product is deeply adapted to multiple applications within the Tencent ecosystem, aiming to create next-generation AI productivity tools tailored for students, professionals, OPCs (one-person companies), and small teams.
Tencent WorkBuddy, the core highlight of this collaboration, has gained significant industry recognition and practical value. Data indicates that WorkBuddy leads the domestic PC-side AI-native office intelligent agent market in both monthly visits and month-over-month growth rate. Within Tencent, over 2,000 non-technical employees have already used this intelligent agent to boost daily work efficiency. In practical scenarios, WorkBuddy supports remote control via various communication tools, and new users receive a free quota of 5,000 Credits, significantly lowering the barrier for ordinary people to use AI tools.
From an industry perspective, the launch of AI cloud computers will reshape computer usage in China. A ZTE senior executive noted that while China’s household computer ownership rate has reached 67.5%, nearly 20% of devices remain idle for long periods, resulting in significant resource waste. The popularization of cloud computers will shift public consumption habits from "owning equipment" to "enjoying services," allowing users to avoid concerns about hardware obsolescence.
ZTE has long maintained a dominant position in the cloud terminal market. In the past year, ZTE’s cloud computer terminal sales exceeded 2 million units, securing the Chinese cloud terminal market championship for two consecutive years. With full support from the Tencent Huan Yuan large model and cloud computing resources, the newly upgraded AI cloud computer will further expand the efficiency boundaries of cloud-native devices, accelerating enterprise and individual digital transformation.
