Watch Meta's inaugural LlamaCon AI developer event live

This Tuesday, Meta is hosting LlamaCon, its inaugural AI developer conference. The event will focus on the company's Llama family of open AI models, and significant updates for developers are anticipated. The agenda also includes keynote addresses from Meta executives and fireside chats featuring Big Tech CEOs alongside Meta's Chief, Mark Zuckerberg.
Meta is welcoming a select group of developers and journalists to its headquarters in Menlo Park, California. The major keynotes and fireside chats will be livestreamed globally for remote viewers. LlamaCon will be streamed on the Meta for Developers Facebook Page and the Meta Developers YouTube channel.
LlamaCon begins at 10:15 a.m. Pacific Time with a keynote from Meta's Chief Product Officer Chris Cox, Vice President of AI Manohar Paluri, and Generative AI Research Scientist Angela Fan.
At 10:45 a.m., Mark Zuckerberg will join a fireside chat with Databricks Co-founder and CEO Ali Ghodsi to discuss open-source AI and AI-powered applications. The link between Meta and Databricks? In January, Databricks announced Meta's involvement as a "strategic advisor" backing the data-centric AI startup.
Later at 4 p.m., Zuckerberg will participate in another fireside chat with Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella. The two leaders are expected to talk about the latest AI trends and share advice for developers navigating this rapidly evolving field.
The stakes are high for Meta at LlamaCon. The company's recent launch of Llama 4, its latest AI model generation, received a lukewarm response from developers. On certain benchmarks, the Llama 4 models did not match the performance of leading models from DeepSeek, OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google.
Shortly after the launch, Meta faced allegations of manipulating a popular crowdsourced AI benchmark, LM Arena. The company used a version of its Llama 4 Maverick model "optimized for conversationality" to secure a high score on LM Arena but released a different version of Maverick to the public.
Through LlamaCon, Meta aims to rebuild its standing with the developer community. Whether the company succeeds remains to be seen.
