Universal Music Group (UMG) announced on the 10th (US time) that it has entered into a multi-year licensing agreement and a broader strategic partnership with ElevenLabs, an AI audio research and product company. This marks ElevenLabs' first collaboration with a major record label.
The two companies will collaborate to build a new AI music creation platform leveraging licensed music and artist involvement. Still in development, this platform will offer fans innovative ways to create music alongside participating artists and songwriters, featuring remixes, medleys, new interpretations, and personalized voice experiences. The partnership will also expand into additional products and fan engagement opportunities in the future.
