The excitement is palpable as Disney unveils the first trailer for *Tron: Ares*, the eagerly awaited sequel to *Tron: Legacy*. Clocking in at just a minute-and-a-half, the trailer keeps the plot under wraps but doesn't shy away from showcasing the film's stunning visuals. The atmosphere is dark and moody, brimming with the iconic light trails that have become synonymous with the *Tron* series.
The trailer kicks off in the real world under the cover of night. We're introduced to Jared Leto's character, Ares, a Program who has taken on a physical form. He's seen making a daring escape on a light cycle, dramatically slicing a police vehicle in half with his light trail. The subsequent scenes are equally thrilling: a colossal airship looms over the city, its presence marked only by red light strips. We see onlookers filled with dread at the sight of the airship, intense dogfights between real-world aircraft and fighters from the *Tron* universe, and a glimpse of Ares receiving his physical body.
The trailer's backdrop is the intense music of Nine Inch Nails, who are set to score the film. It concludes with a gripping voiceover by Jeff Bridges, reprising his role as Kevin Flynn, who ominously states, “Ready? There’s no going back.” Fans can mark their calendars for the movie's theatrical release on October 10th.
