In the fiercely competitive AI landscape, Tencent is surging ahead with remarkable momentum. Recent reports confirm that during its March 18th earnings call, Tencent officially announced its new HY3.0 (Huayuan 3.0) large language model has entered internal business testing, with a planned public release in April. Positioned as a "major upgrade" over last year's MoE-architecture-based Huayuan 2.0 , the 3.0 version delivers significant enhancements in reasoning power and agent collaboration.
Tencent's confidence in becoming a frontrunner stems largely from a major overhaul of its research division:
Top Talent Acquisition: In a key move late last year, 27-year-old prodigy Yao Shunyu, a Tsinghua University Yao Class alumnus and former OpenAI researcher, officially joined as Tencent's Chief AI Scientist. His recruitment signaled Tencent's commitment to restructuring its R&D team with world-class expertise in large models.
Co-Designed Integration: Alongside this reorganization, Tencent is accelerating the deep integration between its Huayuan Large Model and the AI assistant Yuanbao , aiming for breakthroughs in the model's foundational architecture.
On the application front, Tencent is launching a powerful "Claw Revolution." The company has recently introduced multiple intelligent agent products, including QClaw (Tencent Claw) and WorkBuddy . On March 11th, Ma Huateng publicly endorsed the "Claw Matrix" on his WeChat Moments, showcasing a comprehensive ecosystem of self-developed, local, cloud, and enterprise "Claw" agents.
Leveraging the massive user bases of WeChat and QQ, Tencent is building an omnipresent OpenClaw ecosystem. As powerful model reasoning converges with the accessibility of social platforms, will Tencent's "Claw Army" redefine AI interaction standards? The answer arrives in April.
