Tencent Music Among Six New Generative AI Services Registered in Guangdong
Guangdong's cyberspace authorities, in collaboration with relevant departments, have actively fostered the innovative development and standardized application of generative artificial intelligence services in accordance with the Interim Measures for the Management of Generative Artificial Intelligence Services. They have carried out registration procedures for these services. According to the latest update, as of May 11, 2026, six new generative AI services have been registered in Guangdong, bringing the total number of registered services to 53. This list includes companies such as Tencent Music and Gree Electric Appliances.

To further strengthen the governance of generative AI services and ensure their safety and compliance, the responsibilities of service providers have been underscored. Providers who utilize the capabilities of registered large-scale models via API interfaces or other means to offer services with public opinion influence or social mobilization functions to the general public within China must complete registration with the local cyberspace administration. This step is designed to enhance service transparency and protect the public interest.
Furthermore, all live generative AI applications or features must prominently display their obtained registration number on their interface or product details page. This allows users to clearly identify and verify the legality and compliance of the service they are using.
