The New York-based company recently secured $100 million in new funding from prominent investors including HSG, Valor Equity Partners, Founders Fund, Y Combinator, and sports personalities like Ferrari Formula 1 driver Charles Leclerc and McLaren Racing CEO Zak Brown.
This latest investment brings Eight Sleep's total funding to approximately $260 million, according to Pitchbook data. Following its $86 million Series C round in 2021 that valued the company at $500 million post-money, Eight Sleep now approaches unicorn status with a valuation doubling its previous round.
"Strategic execution of our AI development plan, international expansion, and specialized health interventions will organically lead us to unicorn valuation," explained Alexandra Zatarain, Eight Sleep's Co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer.
Product Innovation
The company's flagship Pod smart mattress incorporates advanced sensors and artificial intelligence to monitor sleep stages, cardiac rhythms, respiratory patterns, and movement. The system dynamically adjusts mattress temperature, elevation, and firmness while including features like automatic elevation adjustment in response to detected snoring.
Since launching the Pod in 2019, Eight Sleep has:
- Generated over $500 million in sales
- Expanded revenue tenfold
- Accumulated more than one billion hours of sleep data

With approximately 100 employees, Eight Sleep is developing Sleep Agent, an artificial intelligence platform that creates digital twin models of users to predict sleep outcomes and optimize recovery. This technology represents a shift from passive monitoring to active sleep optimization.
The company's proprietary Autopilot system establishes personalized sleep profiles that continuously adapt to factors including seasonal changes, travel schedules, stress levels, physical training, and illness.
