Samsung Devices to Receive 4 Google Updates

Today at Galaxy Unpacked, Samsung revealed four exciting Google updates coming to their latest devices, including the Galaxy Z Flip6, Z Fold6, and the new Galaxy Watches. Here's what you can look forward to:

1. Get suggestions from Gemini based on what's on your screen

With the Gemini app on Android, you've got a handy AI assistant right at your fingertips. It helps you understand the world around you, find the perfect words, and even whip up images on the fly. Plus, since Gemini works seamlessly with Google apps, it can assist you across Gmail, Docs, Maps, Drive, and more.

On the new Galaxy Z series, Gemini will soon start offering suggestions based on what's on your screen. Just swipe from the corner or say "Hey Google" to pull up Gemini. For instance, if you're watching a YouTube video, you might see a suggestion like "Ask about this video." The large screen on the Galaxy Z Fold6 is especially great for multitasking. Soon, while watching a video, you'll be able to bring up the Gemini overlay and move it around for a split-screen experience.

The Gemini app on Android is currently available in 29 languages across over 200 countries. These updates for the Galaxy series will roll out in the coming months.

2. Circle to Search on the new Galaxy Z Series

Earlier this year, we introduced Circle to Search, a nifty way to search on your Android device without needing to switch apps. We've since added translation features and homework help for physics and math problems. Starting later this month, Circle to Search will tackle more complex topics like symbolic math and even scan barcodes and QR codes on your screen.

Circle to Search is also supported on tablets and foldables, including the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6, and will expand to more Samsung devices later this year.

3. Try Wear OS 5 on the new Galaxy Watches

At I/O, we talked about how Wear OS 5 boosts performance and extends battery life. Samsung's latest Galaxy Watch lineup, including the Watch Ultra and Watch7, will be the first to run on Wear OS 5. These smartwatches are perfect for on-the-go use, offering advanced health monitoring like heart rate and sleep tracking, a personalized health experience, and access to a wide range of apps on Google Play.

4. Watch YouTube TV in multiview

On the Galaxy Z Fold6, YouTube TV subscribers can enjoy multiview, watching up to four different streams at once. You can pick from pre-selected combinations of football, news, weather, and simultaneous sporting events.
