This National Small Business Week, we're shining a spotlight on small business owners who are jumping on the generative AI bandwagon. Take Cece Meadows, the brains behind Prados Beauty. She kicked off her journey by hitting up Google to figure out how digital tools could boost her brand's visibility. Fast forward to now, and she's all in on using Gemini to streamline her daily grind and spark new ideas for growing her business.
Cece started Prados Beauty right out of her daughter's nursery back in 2019. Later, she and her husband Daniel, a U.S. Army major, moved the operation to Las Cruces, New Mexico. When she dipped her toes into Google Ads in 2020, the results were pretty mind-blowing. Within just two months, she saw a return on her ad spend, with web traffic soaring by 500% year-over-year and sales jumping by a whopping 700%. "We realized how crucial it was to keep Google Ads running every day," Cece shares.
A few years down the line, Cece got the chance to attend a Grow with Google event. That's where she first got a taste of AI tools, specifically Gemini. "I thought this could be a game-changer for my business," Cece recalls. Now, she relies on Gemini to whip up social media posts, brainstorm packaging ideas, and dive deeper into the nitty-gritty of building a brand. "Tasks that used to take me a whole day, or even two, I can now knock out in just an hour," she says. "It's been a real lifesaver for me and my business."
Just like Cece, other small business owners can tap into AI training and resources, like Google AI Essentials. It's a self-paced course that's all about helping folks from different roles and industries pick up AI skills to ramp up their productivity. Plus, they can check out the U.S. Small Business Administration's National Small Business Week Virtual Summit, happening from April 30 to May 1. Grow with Google will be hosting an AI webinar and setting up a virtual booth packed with resources to help small businesses connect with customers, sell products online, and more.
