Microsoft Provides Free AI Skills Training for Everyone - Still Time to Enroll

Ever heard of "festification"? Well, that's exactly what Microsoft is bringing to the table with the Microsoft AI Skills Fest in April and May. It sounds a bit quirky, but it promises to be a blast!
Free AI Training for Everyone
Microsoft's AI Skills Fest is rolling out the red carpet for learners of all skill levels. Whether you're just dipping your toes into the world of AI or you're ready to dive deep into advanced topics, there's something for everyone. The event is cleverly structured as a single, unified course, allowing you to pick and choose which lessons you want to tackle, all under one roof.
The courses are available in a whopping array of languages, including Albanian, Arabic, Brazilian Portuguese, Bulgarian, Catalan, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Estonian, Finnish, French, German, Global, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Macedonian, Mandarin Chinese, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Simplified Chinese, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, and Vietnamese. Unfortunately, conversational Klingon didn't make the cut this time around.
But wait, there's more! The fest includes hackathons, self-paced learning modules, challenges, community forums, meetups, and even an opportunity for Microsoft's partners to showcase their AI training and products. It's a full-blown AI party!
For those new to AI, there are beginner-friendly lessons like "Using AI for Everyday Tasks." This module helps you grasp the basics of generative AI and how to use it both at home and work. You'll learn to craft effective prompts and discover useful resources.
If you're looking to level up, there are advanced courses like those on Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft's data analytics platform. These courses prepare you for the DP-700 certification. During the Skills Fest, the course is free, but if you want to get certified, you'll need to pay around $165 outside the event.
Prizes and Discounts
Don't fancy shelling out for certifications? You might just get lucky with the Microsoft AI Skills Fest Challenge Sweepstakes. Enter for a chance to win one of 50,000 free certification vouchers in weekly drawings.
GitHub is also getting in on the action, offering a 50% discount code for their newest certification exam, GitHub Copilot. Complete the GitHub Learn module, and you'll receive a discount code valid until May 28, 2025. Just remember, you must finish the exam by June 30, 2025, so no procrastinating!
