However, recent limitations on the variety and quantity of videos it can produce have led to a noticeable dip in its popularity. Integrating Sora into ChatGPT is viewed as a crucial step for OpenAI to remain competitive and capture a larger share of the AI-powered content creation market. OpenAI plans to maintain the standalone Sora app alongside the integration to cater to diverse user needs.
Nevertheless, embedding a computationally intensive video generator into a chatbot represents a substantial investment for OpenAI . To manage these high operational costs, the company is likely to introduce a points-based monetization system, similar to the current standalone app model.
