OpenAI Unveils GPT-6-Powered Intelligent UI, Redefining ChatGPT’s Interactive Visual Experience
OpenAI is set to introduce a new "Intelligent UI" this Wednesday alongside its latest large language model, GPT-6, delivering a major leap forward in ChatGPT’s visual and interactive capabilities. This update moves beyond traditional text-only responses by seamlessly embedding essential visual components directly into natural user conversations.
Technologically, the updated interface goes beyond static or flat imagery by incorporating highly dynamic elements. ChatGPT can now generate clickable interactive buttons, task-specific calculators, interactive data charts, and editable graphics directly within the chat.
Aarush Selvan, a product manager at OpenAI, explained that this shift is designed to deliver more actionable insights than plain text, helping users manage daily planning and complex learning tasks with greater efficiency. For instance, when exploring how airplane wings generate lift, the system can instantly produce intuitive diagrams; in everyday scenarios, it can also provide recipe visuals, bicycle mechanics diagrams, multi-day hiking maps, and customized savings calculators as helpful visual aids.
Regarding deployment and user control, the intelligent UI offers extensive customization, allowing users to adjust the density of visual elements in responses based on their preferences. This feature will initially roll out globally to Pro, Plus, Business, and Enterprise tier users with GPT-6, followed by a full release to free users and Go plan subscribers later this Thursday.
This interface evolution significantly lowers the barrier to understanding complex subjects, making AI tools more accessible and user-friendly. From an industry standpoint, it signals that large language models are rapidly evolving from simple text-based chatbots into comprehensive productivity platforms equipped with rich media interactions and multimodal presentation capabilities.
