Nvidia Begins Production of Blackwell AI Chip at TSMC's Arizona Facility

Nvidia has taken a significant step by moving part of its chip production to the United States. On Monday, the company revealed that it's now producing its Blackwell AI GPUs at TSMC's facility in Phoenix, Arizona. Not only are the chips being made there, but local companies are also involved in packaging and testing them.
TSMC, known globally as Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., is the leading chipmaker and recently committed to a $100 billion investment in US chip production. They kicked off the production of chips using the 4nm process at their Arizona plant back in January and are looking to advance to the more efficient 2nm technology by the end of the decade.
Nvidia hasn't specified which Blackwell chips are rolling off the production line at TSMC's facility, leaving us wondering if this includes the latest Blackwell Ultra GB300 chip announced earlier this year. According to Nvidia's website, these Blackwell chips are crafted using TSMC’s custom 4NP process.
