This partnership goes beyond basic technical integration—it's the latest step in Alibaba’s expanding sports ecosystem. Over the years, Alibaba has pursued digital transformation in sports, starting with its role as a global Olympic partner in 2017, embedding cloud computing and AI into major international events.
Recently, Alibaba’s long-term strategic deal with UEFA has drawn attention. Under the agreement, Alibaba is now the exclusive AI, cloud computing, and e-commerce partner for several UEFA competitions and the 2028 European Cup.
