Microsoft Expands Copilot Vision to Windows and Mobile for Real-World AI Assistance

Microsoft is expanding its Copilot Vision feature beyond just web browsers, bringing it to Windows and mobile devices. Initially part of last year's Copilot redesign, Copilot Vision was only available on Edge to assist with understanding webpage content. Now, it's stepping up its game.
With the new update, Copilot Vision can analyze live video feeds from your mobile camera. This means the AI can give you real-time advice on things like plant care or home decor. The feature is rolling out today in the Copilot app for iOS and Android, and a Windows version is on its way soon.
The Windows version of the Copilot app is getting an upgrade to support Copilot Vision across your whole PC. This allows the AI to help you navigate Adobe Photoshop tools or analyze the photos and webpages you're viewing.
This is different from the Recall feature on Copilot Plus PCs, which takes automatic snapshots when enabled. Copilot Vision, on the other hand, is more like sharing your screen during a Microsoft Teams call.
Windows Insiders can try out Copilot Vision on Windows starting next week, with a wider release planned after testing. Alongside this, Microsoft is also updating Copilot with a bunch of new features today, including memory, personalization, web-based actions, podcast creation, and deep research. You can check out all the new stuff Copilot can do here.

Finally! I've been waiting for this to hit Windows and mobile. Edge-only was so limiting. Curious how it'll handle real-time camera input on phones though - privacy concerns aside, could be a game-changer for accessibility. Hope it's not just another gimmick that drains battery 🔋
Finally! Having Copilot Vision on my phone and desktop is a game-changer. No more switching between devices just to get context-aware help. Curious how it handles real-time tasks though—like if I'm cooking and need to identify ingredients from a messy kitchen cam feed. Hope it's as seamless as they promise! 🍳📱
Hab da so meine Zweifel...
Super cool to see Copilot Vision hitting Windows and mobile! 😎 I’m curious how it’ll handle real-world tasks like scanning docs or helping with shopping. Hope it’s not just a fancy gimmick!
