Jiangxi launches first token factory in Nanchang High-tech Zone, hosting 300+ large models

Jiangxi Province has officially launched its first Token factory in the Nanchang High-tech Industrial Development Zone, marking a significant step in regional digital transformation. Designed as a core AI empowerment platform, this initiative delivers efficient, stable, and cost-effective computing power for large model training and inference. By adopting a scalable, intensive operational model, the project accelerates the intelligent upgrade of diverse industries across the region.
As essential infrastructure for the large AI model era, the Token factory resolves critical bottlenecks for local tech SMEs, including slow deployment cycles and a lack of empowerment tools. Liu Yongqiang, vice director of the Nanchang High-tech Industrial Development Zone Management Committee, emphasized that the zone has long focused on strengthening the AI ecosystem, covering intelligent terminals, computing hardware, and embodied intelligence. The Token factory serves as a strategic instrument to bridge industrial gaps and drive comprehensive sectoral upgrading.
Technically, the project is a joint venture between Nanchang Gaoxin Investment Group and China Mobile Communications Group Jiangxi Co., Ltd. Nanchang Branch. Chen Baihua, general manager of Nanchang Mobile, explained that the initiative combines policy guidance with market-driven operations. Leveraging China Mobile’s model service platform, Phase One has integrated over 300 mainstream large models, supporting industry-specific applications in manufacturing, healthcare, and education. By offering standardized, highly available, and competitively priced Token products, the project significantly lowers the entry barrier for enterprises and users seeking computing power and AI capabilities.
Looking at regional expansion, Fu Kang, deputy executive chairman of the Jiangxi Computer Society and director of the Provincial Science and Technology Basic Conditions Platform Center, noted that the Token factory effectively bridges the gap between computing resources and industrial productivity. Future plans include integrating with the provincial computing power scheduling system to ensure resource complementarity and peak-load balancing. This strategy aims to replicate the Nanchang High-tech Industrial Development Zone’s success province-wide, transitioning the Token factory from a local pilot to a broadly accessible regional resource.
Moving forward, the Nanchang High-tech Industrial Development Zone will leverage the Token factory’s full commissioning to attract and nurture upstream and downstream enterprises in large models, intelligent applications, and data services. This effort aims to accelerate the formation of an AI industry cluster and continuously refine a full-cycle, full-chain innovation ecosystem for enterprise services.
