On September 16, Huawei announced that Xiao Yi Work has entered its internal testing phase. Designed as an AI assistant for daily office tasks, coding, and creative projects, it supports HarmonyOS smartphones, tablets, and computers. The official website now offers a Windows client download (version 0.6.9). HarmonyOS computer users can reserve the HarmonyOS version by switching to "Work" in the left sidebar of the Xiao Yi App.
Once user goals are provided, the service autonomously breaks down tasks, invokes necessary tools, and executes them. Users can monitor task progress and review key milestones. It supports cross-device collaboration across mobile phones, tablets, and computers, allowing mobile devices to remotely assign tasks, track progress, and receive results. The execution environment can be either cloud-based or local, with support for connecting multiple computers simultaneously.
Officially, the service automatically matches experts for collaboration, covering scenarios like research analysis, content creation, and programming. Examples include optimizing project presentation PPTs, adding core function code comments, and designing visual posters for events.
Membership benefits include AI points, which are consumed based on task complexity. According to the membership agreement, data from paid members will be retained for 7 days after subscription expiration, while free members' data will be deleted immediately and cannot be recovered upon expiration. The memory feature summarizes personal preferences, schedules, and work information for cross-session memory and multi-device synchronization. Huawei stated that this data is not used for model training.
Records indicate that the service utilizes algorithms such as the DeepSeek large language model, Huawei Cloud PanGu NLP, MiniMax text synthesis, Zhipu interactive content generation, and the Moonshot language model from Yue Zhi An Mian.
