Grammarly Rebrands as 'Superhuman' and Unveils New AI Assistant
When one company buys another, it typically absorbs the acquired company's brand or blends it into its own identity. Grammarly is taking a different approach: Following its July acquisition of the email client Superhuman, the company is rebranding itself as "Superhuman."
The Grammarly product itself will keep its original name despite this corporate rebranding. However, the company has indicated it may eventually rebrand other products, such as the productivity platform Coda, which it purchased last year.
The company is also introducing an AI assistant named Superhuman Go, integrated directly into the existing Grammarly extension. This assistant can offer writing recommendations, provide feedback on emails, and even connect to applications like Jira, Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Calendar to gather additional context. By linking with these services, the assistant can perform tasks like creating support tickets or checking your calendar availability when scheduling meetings.

Users can activate Superhuman Go via a toggle in the Grammarly extension, which allows them to link it with various apps. They can also experiment with different agents in the company’s agent store, including a plagiarism detector and a proofreading tool launched in August.
Superhuman Go is currently available to all Grammarly users, with the company also offering product bundles. The Pro subscription is priced at $12 per month (with annual billing) and provides grammar and tone support in multiple languages. The Business plan costs $33 per month (annually) and includes access to Superhuman Mail.
