Google's Shopping tab introduces AI tool for fashion suggestions
On Wednesday, Google rolled out a cool new AI image feature for its Shopping tab, aimed at helping folks snag the perfect outfit just by describing it. They're also beefing up their AR beauty and virtual try-on tools.
This new tool, dubbed “Vision Match,” is now up and running on mobile for U.S. users. It's pretty slick—shoppers can type in what they're picturing, and the AI kicks back some suggestions along with items you can actually buy.
To give it a whirl, just pop an idea into the search bar and scroll down to the “Can’t find it? Create it” section, or head over to the left panel in the Shopping tab and hit “Create & Shop.”
Vision Match has been floating around as an experimental feature in Labs since last year, so it's been getting some real-world testing.

To dive into the AR beauty stuff, just search for a makeup look like “soft glam” on your phone, then choose “See the looks on you” and “Try it on.” You'll get to see how neutral eyeshadows, rosy blush, lip gloss, and more look on you virtually.
Google's also expanding its virtual try-on feature, which they introduced last year to show how clothes fit on different models. Now, you can check out pants and skirts from tons of brands on real-life models, in sizes from XXS all the way to XXL.

For example, last year they added an AI summary to the search results page, giving shoppers the lowdown on products. So, if you're looking for a winter jacket, Google dishes out some handy tips to think about before you buy.
