Google's AI Video Tool, Vids, Now Open for Testing: Here's How to Try It

A few months back, Google rolled out Google Vids, an exciting new AI-powered video creation tool designed to help businesses craft compelling video stories. Whether you're tackling HR onboarding, training sessions, new client pitches, or product rollouts, Google Vids aims to streamline the entire process—from writing and production to editing.
As part of the Google Workspace suite, Google Vids integrates seamlessly with Docs, Slides, and Sheets, enhancing your productivity across the board. Curious to give it a spin? You've got two options: dive in with or without AI assistance.
To get started, you'll need to sign up for Google Workspace Labs, which is open to everyone. Once you're in, navigate to the Google Vids section in Docs. Just click the plus sign at the bottom right, and you're ready to start crafting your video.
Also: Google Workspace is getting a boost with new generative AI features, including this nifty video creation app.
You can kick things off by picking a template that suits your needs—from class overviews and product pitches to new employee introductions. There are about 50 templates to choose from, so you're bound to find something that fits. Once you've selected your template, you can work through it scene by scene, adding your text, photos, and music until your project feels just right.
Or, if you're feeling adventurous, hit "Help Me Create." Here, you can describe your video idea in a text prompt, specifying the text, target audience, and desired length. The AI will then take your input and build a video step by step. Need more details? Just attach any relevant document from Google Drive.
Google Vids will whip up an editable storyboard and offer you a variety of styles to choose from. After you've made your selection, the tool assembles a first draft complete with stock video, images, and background music. It can even generate voiceovers, letting you pick from options like energetic, calm, or relaxed, or you can record your own if you prefer.
As Google Vids rolls out to a wider audience, the company promises a continuous stream of new features. While they haven't nailed down a public release date yet, Google plans to refine the tool through Workspace Labs before making it available to select Google Workspace plans.

Just tried Google Vids and it's slick! Super easy to whip up a training video, but I wonder how it stacks up against Canva's AI tools. Anyone compared them yet? 🤔
¡Recomendado! 😄
