At Google IO 2026, Google introduced an updated version of its agentic coding app, Google Antigravity 2.0, featuring a redesigned desktop app, a CLI tool, and an SDK for custom workflows. The company first launched Antigravity last year as a competitor to agentic coding tools like Cursor.
With the new desktop app, users can coordinate multiple agents and run tasks simultaneously. You can also create custom subagent workflows and schedule tasks to run automatically in the background. Additionally, the app makes it easy to integrate projects with Google AI Studio, Android, and Firebase.
Much of this functionality relies on Google's new Gemini 3.5 Flash model, which was co-developed using Antigravity, according to Google.
Google is also adding native voice command support to Antigravity, similar to what it has introduced in other consumer products like Gmail and Docs. Additionally, it's launching a new Antigravity CLI tool for developers who prefer using a terminal to build agents. Google is encouraging users of the Gemini CLI tool to switch to this new tool.
Furthermore, Google is releasing an Antigravity SDK so developers can create custom agents using Google's coding tool. Google Cloud customers will be able to connect to Antigravity for project development. The company also mentioned that it will provide custom agent templates in AI Studio to help enterprise users get started.
Google is also introducing an Antigravity export tool in AI Studio, allowing developers to export their existing projects and continue working locally.
Google is leveraging Antigravity's coding capabilities in consumer products such as Search, where users will see a custom UI generated in real time as part of search results. According to Google, users can build mini-apps while exploring a topic within search.
The company is introducing a new AI Ultra plan for $100 per month, which provides 5x higher AI usage limits in Antigravity compared to the Pro plan.

Google is also lowering the price of its top-tier AI Ultra plan from $250 to $200 per month, offering 20x higher limits than the Pro plan. Other AI labs like Anthropic and OpenAI have introduced both $100 and $200 monthly plans in recent years, creating a tiered system for users with varying AI usage needs.
