HomeGoogle Relaunches AI-Powered 'Ask Photos' with Improved Speed Features
Following a temporary halt in testing, Google is relaunching its AI-driven "Ask Photos" search functionality in Google Photos with significant enhancements. Powered by Google's Gemini AI technology, this innovative feature helps users locate specific images through natural language queries.
Key Improvements to Ask Photos
Google recently acknowledged initial shortcomings of the feature, particularly regarding response times and result accuracy. In response to user feedback highlighting the need for:
- Quicker results for basic searches (e.g., "beach vacations")
- Improved search relevance for complex queries
- Enhanced overall user experience
How the Enhanced Feature Works
The updated implementation now delivers immediate visual results for simple searches while simultaneously processing more detailed queries in the background. This dual-processing approach significantly reduces wait times.

Finally! I was tired of scrolling through thousands of blurry photos. Hope Gemini actually finds my cat this time 😅

Finally! Been waiting for this update since I first heard about the early testing. The speed improvements are crucial—I gave up on the last version because it felt slower than just scrolling manually. Hoping Gemini makes it truly smart at finding those 'one specific photo' moments! 🤞 #GooglePhotos

Скорость поиска заметно выросла! Раньше ждал несколько секунд, сейчас почти мгновенно. Хотя всё равно немного пугает, что ИИ так глубоко проникает в личные архивы... Надеюсь, конфиденциальность на первом месте.
