Google Launches Secure AI Tool to Challenge Ansopek in Code Face-Off

During the recent I/O Developer Conference, Google unveiled a significant cybersecurity initiative. The company invited a select group of experts to perform API testing on CodeMender, an AI agent designed for code security.
Developed by Google DeepMind, CodeMender has been highly anticipated since its debut last October, and Google is now expanding its access to a broader external audience.
Built to Address Global Vulnerabilities
Google DeepMind's CTO explained that the tool's core purpose is to help safeguard code repositories around the world. CodeMender can keenly detect security flaws in code and also has the powerful ability to fix them directly.
Observers view this move as a direct response to competitor Anso, which recently made waves in the AI industry by releasing a powerful preview model called Mythos, drawing attention from major banks and the Chairman of the Federal Reserve.
