Google is expanding its AI integration by enabling Gemini Spark to manage Google Photos libraries. Users can now instruct the agent to edit images, organize albums, generate shared collections from favorite shots, convert concert flyers into calendar events, and automate other workflows.
Google Photos lead Shimrit Ben-Yair announced these new features on X, stating that eligible Gemini AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in the U.S. will gain access to English-language support over the coming weeks.
The company has not specified whether or when these features will expand to international markets.

The launch occurs as the AI industry faces criticism for failing to effectively communicate its value to consumers. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman recently told Bloomberg that the sector has not done a terrible job explaining technology benefits, despite global backlash.
