Fora, AI Travel Platform, Closes $60M D-Round, Hits $1B Valuation
Fora, an AI-powered travel platform, has secured $60 million in Series D funding, achieving a $1 billion valuation and officially joining the unicorn club. Led by Forerunner Ventures and Tactile Ventures, with contributions from Insight Partners and Thrive Capital, the round brings Fora’s total funding to $138.5 million.
Founded in 2021, Fora merges travel services with agency operations. It empowers everyday users to become travel consultants by providing essential tools like customer communication and trip planning infrastructure. Simultaneously, the platform offers bespoke services for honeymoons and family vacations to popular spots like Costa Rica and Thailand, connecting travelers with vetted professional agents.

Post-financing, Fora will scale its AI assistant, Via. This tool automates routine tasks such as market research and itinerary creation, allowing agents to cut operational overhead and focus on client relationships. Fora stresses that AI aims to boost agent productivity rather than replace human expertise.
To date, Fora’s agents have booked over $3 billion in travel products, with many being newcomers to the industry. Moving forward, the company will use these funds to expand into cruises and airline ticketing, while growing its operational teams.
As AI integrates deeper into tourism—spanning content curation, itinerary design, and customer service—it is steering traditional models toward smarter, personalized experiences. Fora’s funding success highlights that merging AI with niche sectors is a key strategy for startups seeking investor interest.
