WeChat has officially made its AI ecosystem access capabilities available to developers. As one of the earliest partners, Didi has fully integrated into this ecosystem, with its core ride-hailing services now embedded in the WeChat AI Agent. This milestone represents a significant step in WeChat's strategy to implement AI scenarios and foster a large-model application ecosystem through openness and deeper collaboration.
Through this partnership, WeChat users will soon be able to directly access Didi's travel services within the app using natural language commands. For example, simply saying "Book a Didi to the airport" will allow the WeChat AI Agent to interpret complex intents, intelligently analyze factors such as trip distance, time constraints, and personal preferences, and then automatically suggest the most suitable vehicle type.
This feature enables one-click car booking, providing a seamless experience without requiring users to switch to external apps. According to reports, core ride-hailing services—including regular, premium, and discounted options—have been launched initially. Over time, additional sub-services like Didi Hitch and driving services will be gradually integrated into this ecosystem.
Within the industry, this collaboration not only showcases the technical feasibility of migrating complex life-service scenarios to AI Agents but also highlights the trend of traffic entry points shifting toward native interactions with large language models. As a national infrastructure, the underlying openness of WeChat's AI ecosystem will accelerate the deployment of multimodal applications.
