DIDI AI Travel Assistant Xiaodi v1.0 Launches, Enables Voice-Activated Ride Booking
After six months of public beta testing, the Didi AI travel assistant "Xiao Di" version 1.0 has officially launched. This update deeply integrates large language model capabilities, designed to translate complex travel requests into precise platform service tags, offering users a smarter and more personalized ride-hailing experience.

Core Features: Natural Language Understanding for Precise Service Matching
The key advancement of "Xiao Di" is its ability to comprehend unstructured natural language. Users can now simply state their needs via voice or text instead of manually selecting filters in the app. The AI will automatically identify and apply the appropriate service tags.
Intelligent Context Recognition: When a user mentions "motion sickness" or "not feeling well," Xiao Di will activate tags like "smooth driving" and "gasoline vehicle." For requests such as "I'm pregnant" or "carrying large luggage," it matches services like "spacious interior" or "large trunk."
Multi-Stop Trip Planning: The assistant can handle complex routing in a single command, for example, "pick someone up first, then go home." It also remembers frequent addresses, allowing quick orders with phrases like "go home" or "go to the office."
Integrated Lifestyle Assistant: It offers lifestyle-oriented features, such as finding a nearby popular cafe and booking a ride there, or suggesting multi-modal transport options for longer journeys.
Xiao Di v1.0 currently supports over 90 service tags. Its core function is to convert natural language into executable platform commands, combining real-time factors like traffic, vehicle location, and driver status to search the dispatch pool. When a perfect match isn't available, the AI prioritizes to provide the best possible solution at that moment.
Starting today, users can update the Didi app to the latest version and tap "AI Hail" on the homepage to try it. New users interacting with Xiao Di for the first time will also receive a welcome gift.
Didi stated that the v1.0 release marks a significant step toward delivering reliable, AI-powered travel services. Moving forward, Xiao Di will continue to evolve based on user feedback and explore new AI-assisted mobility features.
