Streamline your editing workflow with the latest release. Blackmagic Design launched DaVinci Resolve 21.1 on September 8th, introducing a major leap in AI integration by embedding top-tier assistants like Claude, Claude Code, and ChatGPT Codex directly into the platform.
This update empowers editors to manage complex tasks through natural language commands. The AI handles routine operations such as analyzing large media libraries, organizing files, adjusting settings, and executing batch renders. Editors can instruct the assistant to extract highlights, trim redundant footage, and finalize renders, reducing repetitive labor and freeing up time for creative direction.
Beyond AI enhancements, DaVinci Resolve 21.1 improves hardware compatibility and workflow efficiency. The Photo page now natively supports raw files from Fujifilm GFX and X series, Leica SL, and Sony α7R VI cameras. This direct import capability eliminates tedious format conversions, enabling seamless processing and faster output for photographers and editors alike.
The update also refines multi-camera workflows, enhancing the smoothness of angle switching and synchronization based on real-world post-production needs. Additionally, new graphic tools have been added, offering creators expanded capabilities for visual effects, color grading, and detailed image editing.
