Today, Codepilot, the renowned AI coding assistant, has officially released version 0.39.0. This update focuses on core improvements including underlying performance optimization, workflow integration, and refined user interaction details to provide developers with a more efficient and stable AI-assisted coding environment.
Underlying Performance: Unified Context and Bridge Enhancement
At the core level, this version introduces a unified context layer, which streamlines context processing by removing redundant MCP (Model Context Protocol) loading. This not only reduces resource consumption but also significantly improves the AI's response speed when understanding code intent.
Meanwhile, the Bridge feature receives a key upgrade: it now includes CLI tool context injection and complements SDK options. This further strengthens Codepilot's integration with external development toolchains, allowing developers to pass development context more seamlessly between different tools.
Interaction Updates: Plan Mode and UI Details
For frequently used interactive interfaces, Codepilot 0.39.0 brings several refined tweaks:
Plan Mode Upgrade: The UI now supports tab switching and implements state persistence, enabling developers to maintain continuous task progress when switching interfaces during complex multi-task planning.
Side Panel Menu Simplification: The "three-dot menu" in the side panel has been reorganized, adding a project deletion action and moving the split-screen function into the menu, freeing up significant interface space.
Narrow Screen Display Fix: To address the pain point of developers working in narrow window mode, the overflow issue in ScrollArea under specific modes has been fixed, ensuring display stability across various screen layouts.
