Chinese Tech Giants Dominate Global Large Model Usage Rankings

Global multi-model aggregation platform OpenRouter recently published its latest weekly AI model usage statistics. The top five models on the list were all developed by Chinese companies, signaling that domestic large language models are beginning to secure a leading position in the global market.
Xiaomi's MiMo-V2.5 claimed the top spot, recording an impressive 10.5 trillion tokens in weekly usage—a 12% increase from the previous week. DeepSeek secured both the second and fifth positions. By offering two distinct models, DeepSeek effectively addresses diverse developer needs. Its flagship Pro version rivals top-tier overseas closed-source models, particularly in coding and complex intelligent agent tasks.
Notably, these top-performing products exhibit rapid growth, quickly reaching the summit shortly after launch. Tencent HuanYuan 3 took third place, demonstrating strong momentum. Officially open-sourced on July 6th, it achieved a weekly growth rate exceeding 999%, emerging as the most surprising breakout star on the list.
