OpenAI has officially rolled out a new "Application Integration" feature across both the mobile and web versions of ChatGPT, shifting the assistant from a simple chat interface into a full ecosystem platform. As reported by AIbase, this functionality enables users to link third-party accounts—such as Spotify, Uber, DoorDash, and Canva—directly to ChatGPT, allowing it to execute complex cross-platform commands like creating playlists, ordering food, booking rides, and automating design work.
The update spans lifestyle services, productivity tools, and education and travel. For daily routines, users in the U.S. can utilize the DoorDash integration for quick meal planning and automated grocery shopping, or use Uber and Uber Eats to book rides and order meals in real time. For travel, integrations with Booking.com, Expedia, and Zillow let users filter hotels, flights, and rental properties directly in the chat window. In work and study contexts, Canva helps generate initial design drafts from descriptions, Figma supports creating roadmaps and flowcharts, and Wix enables building websites from text instructions. Moreover, connections with Quizlet and Coursera enhance its role as an intelligent learning assistant.
