ChatGPT adds meeting recording and Google Drive, Box integration

OpenAI's ChatGPT rolls out enhanced enterprise features, offering seamless cloud service integrations, meeting transcription capabilities, and MCP connectivity for in-depth research workflows.

The update introduces native connectors for Dropbox, Box, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Google Drive, enabling ChatGPT to retrieve information directly from users' cloud storage. Financial analysts, for example, can leverage corporate presentations and documents to develop comprehensive investment frameworks.

OpenAI confirms these integrations will respect organizational permission structures.

The platform now includes meeting transcription with automated note-taking—complete with timestamped references and actionable item suggestions. Users can search transcribed content alongside documents across integrated services, with the added ability to transform meeting tasks into Canvas projects, OpenAI's collaborative work environment.

This positions ChatGPT against established tools like ClickUp, Zoom, and Notion, all of which offer similar meeting intelligence features.

OpenAI is piloting specialized research connectors for HubSpot, Linear, and select Microsoft/Google applications, allowing paid users to synthesize data from these platforms with web sources for comprehensive reports.

Enterprise clients gain additional research capabilities through MCP (Model Context Protocol) integration, available across Pro, Team, and Enterprise tiers.
