Anthropic Launches Think Tank to Study Social Impacts of Advanced AI

With the pace of artificial intelligence development far exceeding industry forecasts, AI safety leader officially announced the founding of the Anthropic Institute, a think tank, on October 11th, US local time. This organization's goal is not to build more powerful models, but to concentrate on studying and tackling the profound challenges and significant risks that "advanced AI" could pose to human society.
