About Jared Kaplan's Session
Kaplan will give TC Sessions: AI attendees an inside look at hybrid reasoning models—systems that balance fast answers to straightforward questions with deeper analysis for complex challenges. He'll also share details about Anthropic’s risk-governance framework, designed to address potential AI risks. (Kaplan was named Anthropic’s responsible scaling officer in October.)

Get to Know Kaplan
Jared Kaplan brings an impressive background to the stage. Before co-founding Anthropic, he spent 15 years as a theoretical physicist at Johns Hopkins University, researching quantum gravity, field theory, and cosmology. His work on scaling laws is widely recognized for transforming how the AI industry interprets and forecasts the behavior of sophisticated systems. Prior to Anthropic, Kaplan contributed to the development of GPT-3 and Codex at OpenAI. At Anthropic, he helped create Claude, the company's family of AI assistants.
It's been a remarkable journey for Kaplan and his team. Anthropic's impressive growth has been driven by multiple breakthroughs in recent months, including the February launch of Claude 3.7 Sonnet. The company described it as their smartest model to date and the first hybrid reasoning system capable of handling both simple and complex inquiries with tailored response times.
More recently, the company introduced an autonomous research tool and Google Workspace integration, evolving Claude into what Anthropic calls a "true virtual collaborator" for business users.
(Anthropic is also reportedly developing a voice assistant for Claude to compete with similar features from other AI firms.)
Unsurprisingly, investors have taken note. In March, Anthropic secured new funding that valued the company at $61.5 billion—a significant increase from approximately $16 billion just a year earlier.

Cette info me laisse perplexe...
