Amazon Develops New AI Tools to Broaden Advertising Reach
Amazon is expanding opportunities for AI-driven advertising by offering sellers access to a new chatbot that creates promotional content from simple text inputs. With this tool, sellers describe the kind of advertisement they envision, and the AI bot uses their brand guidelines, product pages, and store specifics to generate creative concepts—whether for static images or video ads.
One example shared by Amazon illustrates how sellers can instruct the AI chatbot to produce taglines and visuals for a product, then have it draft a script, incorporate music, add voiceover, and outline a storyboard. "This tool cuts down the time and costs involved in ad creation, encouraging advertisers to test ideas more easily," Amazon explains. The resulting ads may appear across Amazon’s marketplace, Prime Video, Kindle, and Twitch.

It also extends Amazon's current AI offerings, including features that help sellers create AI-generated videos highlighting their products. Amazon states the chatbot is still in beta and uses its Nova AI model alongside Anthropic’s Claude.
Amazon is also introducing "agentic" features to its AI seller assistant, enabling it to track inventory and offer business improvement tips—such as flagging slow-selling items or recommending price adjustments. Additionally, the assistant can review product listings for compliance with updated safety policies and suggest new product types based on customer trends.
