AliQwen Unveils AI Glasses in Debut Hardware Venture at MWC

Alibaba's personal AI assistant, "Qwen," has officially entered the AI hardware market, announcing plans to launch a series of products including AI glasses, AI rings, and AI earphones globally this year. The first product under this initiative, named Qwen AI Glasses, will debut at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026 in Barcelona, Spain, with pre-orders opening across all channels on March 2nd.

This move signals Alibaba's accelerated efforts to build an integrated "software-hardware" AI ecosystem. By moving beyond the limitations of mobile devices, Qwen aims to use hardware sensors to capture real-world information more intuitively, enabling precise understanding of user intent in complex daily scenarios. Core lifestyle services from the Qwen app, such as food delivery and ride-hailing, will be seamlessly integrated with AI glasses and other hardware, fundamentally restructuring interaction logic.

Market data indicates that Qwen has become a national-level application due to its robust task-processing capabilities. During this year's Spring Festival, one in ten people across the country used Qwen to place orders, with the platform processing nearly 200 million single-command transactions. According to QuestMobile, the Qwen app's daily active users (DAU) have surpassed 73 million, placing it close behind the industry's top applications.

This expansion from a pure software assistant to multi-form hardware reflects the next phase of generative AI: "spatial interaction." By deploying multimodal hardware, Alibaba not only enhances large language models' perception of the real world but also redefines control over AI access points. This shift towards pervasive, scenario-spanning services suggests that AI assistants are evolving from passive response tools into proactive, service-oriented interactive hubs.
