AI-Powered Editing and Podcast Summaries Arrive in Adobe Acrobat
In recent years, Adobe has been proactively integrating AI features across its entire product suite. Now, it's introducing a new wave of AI tools for Acrobat, empowering users to generate podcast-style summaries from documents, craft presentations, and edit files directly through text prompts.
Adobe launched Adobe Spaces last year—a collaborative environment for sharing files and notes among teams. Building on this, users can now leverage the information within these Spaces to automatically generate presentations simply by describing what they need.
For example, if a Space contains financial data, product roadmaps, and competitor analyses, a user could instruct the AI to create a client pitch deck that compellingly explains why their solution outperforms alternatives.
Acrobat's AI Assistant first drafts a presentation outline with editable content. You can then design the slides using Adobe Express's theme library and stock photos, or by uploading your own images. The process is streamlined for applying your company's brand identity and editing individual slides directly within Express.

Acrobat is also introducing a feature to summarize a file or an entire Space as an audio podcast. This functionality mirrors offerings from tools such as Google's NotebookLM, Speechify, and the ElevenLabs Reader app, which also create personalized audio summaries from notes and documents.
Furthermore, Acrobat now allows users to edit documents using prompts. Adobe states that users can perform twelve key actions, including removing pages, text, comments, and images; finding and replacing terms; and adding electronic signatures and passwords.

Contributors can comment on these files and modify the content as needed.
Additionally, users can interact with a default AI assistant or select from specialized roles like "analyst," "entertainer," or "instructor." It's also possible to define a custom assistant tailored to specific tasks using a descriptive prompt.
