AI Startups Revolutionize Infrastructure Solutions

Mass power outages, air travel delays, and traffic jams are just a few of the infrastructure headaches we all face. That's why Google Public Sector is stepping up to help governments and organizations harness AI to create more responsive and accessible services, tackle climate issues, and even patch up those pesky potholes. We're now ramping up our support for startups through the Google for Startups AI Academy: American Infrastructure program. The 15 AI companies chosen for our first group are all geared up to help governments and communities tackle big challenges more effectively.
Over 12 weeks, these startup founders and their teams will dive into an intensive AI curriculum, guided by Google's People + AI Research (PAIR) team. They'll also get a crash course in advanced sales and go-to-market strategies to help their businesses grow. Each founder will have a dedicated Google mentor and access to our global Google for Startups alumni network.
Here's a peek at the selected startups and how they're using AI to improve public systems for everyone:
Aquasight, based in Michigan, is all about providing real-time insights for water and wastewater system operators.
Citian, from Washington, DC, is working on transportation tech to make infrastructure safer and more accessible.
Cloverleaf AI in Colorado keeps businesses in the loop on government activities that matter to them.
Concrete.ai, out of California, is making concrete mixing for infrastructure projects more cost-effective and efficient.
CPNET in Pennsylvania helps factories make the most of their production lines.
Geolabe, based in New Mexico, helps organizations track their environmental impact and find ways to improve it.
Ilmiya in Minnesota is personalizing education, optimizing learning, and keeping students engaged.
Julius Edu from Massachusetts is connecting job seekers with employers in the energy sector.
Multiscale Technologies in Georgia is speeding up R&D for semiconductors, batteries, and more through manufacturing insights.
Pathways, based in New York, helps material manufacturers understand and reduce their environmental footprint.
Pharma Acuity in Connecticut is speeding up clinical trials and getting new drugs to market faster.
Simerse AI, from Missouri, is mapping infrastructure for utilities, public works, and transit.
Welfie, based in California, is helping care providers and educators improve health outcomes for kids in underserved areas.
Whistle Systems in Missouri is focusing on changing employee behavior in construction.
Zordi, out of Massachusetts, is building autonomous greenhouses and using analytics to innovate farming.
We're thrilled to back these amazing founders and their efforts to enhance infrastructure and services nationwide. Check out more about the program on the Google for Startups website.

But will it really fix traffic jams or just make smarter traffic lights? 🤔 Curious to see how this plays out.

AI Startups are really shaking things up with infrastructure solutions! Google Public Sector's move to help with power outages and traffic is cool, but I wish they'd focus more on climate issues. It's a start, but we need more action, not just promises! 🌍
