6. Secure Your BitLocker Recovery Key
With a Microsoft account, your system drive is automatically encrypted. For Pro, Enterprise, or Education editions, you can encrypt any drive, but using a Microsoft account still has its perks.
This encryption is robust, but if you lose access to your PC, you'll need a 48-digit recovery key to unlock your files. If you've used a Microsoft account to sign in, head to microsoft.com/recoverykey and sign in to view and back up your recovery keys for all your devices.
