140,000 Developers Enroll in Five-Day AI Course

The world of AI is moving at breakneck speed, and it's crucial for developers, enthusiasts, and learners to keep up by learning straight from the top experts. That's why Google and Kaggle teamed up to launch our free, five-day Gen AI Intensive live course. We put a lot of thought into the content to make sure participants got a solid grasp of generative AI, from the nuts and bolts of large language models (LLMs) to actually using gen AI in real-world applications.
We designed the live course to strike a perfect balance between theory, hands-on learning, and community engagement. Every day, participants got assignments that included AI-generated podcasts (made with NotebookLM), informative whitepapers (written by Google's own experts), and practical code labs for hands-on experience with Gemini and other services. They covered a wide range of topics:
- Day 1: Foundational Models & Prompt Engineering - Podcasts(1, 2), Livestream
- Day 2: Embeddings and Vector Stores/Databases - Podcast, Livestream
- Day 3: Generative AI Agents - Podcast, Livestream
- Day 4: Domain-Specific LLMs - Podcast, Livestream
- Day 5: MLOps for Generative AI - Podcast, Livestream
Participants also had access to a Discord chat, moderated and supported by Googlers, and livestream sessions with expert guests from Google to answer their burning questions. These sessions were a great chance to dive deeper into specific topics and chat with the course creators. Plus, there were hands-on code labs on Kaggle where participants could play around with different gen AI techniques and tools, like the Gemini API, Embeddings, open source tools like Langraph, and Vertex AI.
Over 140,000 people signed up for the course in just 20 days, making it one of the biggest developer events ever. If you missed the live course, don't worry—some of the most popular gen AI Intensive content has been turned into a self-paced format and is available as a Kaggle Learn Guide. And if you're interested in future live courses, just fill out our outreach form.
