10 pesky Windows 11 24H2 bugs still haunting PCs despite several patches

2. Conflict with PCs with Citrix Components
3. Conflict with Easy Anti-Cheat Online Gaming App
4. Network Connection Issues
5. Network Sharing Doesn't Work
8. Outlook May Not Launch with Google Workspace Sync
9. Problems with Integrated Cameras
10. Compatibility Problems with Intel Smart Sound Technology Drivers
These are just some of the bugs that have been plaguing Microsoft and its users with the Windows 11 2024 update. You can find more on Microsoft's Known Issues and Notifications page, as well as a list of previously fixed bugs on the Resolved issues in Windows 11, version 24H2 page.
When I first installed the update on a test Windows 11 PC back in 2024, I ran into a few of these bugs, plus a couple of others. A program I used called Sync2Cloud wouldn't run, and two Intel driver updates kept failing. Even connecting to the PC using Microsoft's Remote Desktop Connection was hit or miss.
After installing the latest patches over the past few months, a couple of the issues I faced seem to have been sorted out. I'm still having trouble with Remote Desktop Connection, but the April Patch Tuesday update looks like it might fix that.
It's no surprise that a major Windows update comes with its share of conflicts. Even with extensive beta testing, not every issue will surface. But it's frustrating for those of us who rely on Windows for work and other tasks, especially when some bugs have been lingering since last October without a fix in sight.
It seems like the number of bugs in Windows 11 24H2 is higher than in past annual updates. The ongoing parade of issues and Microsoft's need to pause the update for many users suggest there's something off with this version. With Windows 10 support set to end in October, Microsoft really needs to get Windows 11 running smoothly and reliably for the users who'll have to make the switch.
FAQ
How Many Patches Has Microsoft Issued So Far?
To tackle the flood of bugs, Microsoft has released several patches so far. There was one in late October, another in mid-November, a third on December 10 as part of the monthly Patch Tuesday, a fourth in early January, a fifth on January 14 for the month's Patch Tuesday, a sixth to fix some bugs introduced by the Patch Tuesday update, a seventh for February's Patch Tuesday, and an eighth for March's Patch Tuesday.
The October update fixed a few bugs but also introduced a couple of new ones. The November update resolved some, but not all, of the ongoing issues. The December update tackled a specific glitch with certain USB-connected scanners and other devices.
An early January patch finally sorted out conflicts with Ubisoft games like Star Wars Outlaws, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Assassin's Creed Origins, and Assassin's Creed Odyssey.
But then came the January 14 Patch Tuesday update, which, instead of fixing persistent issues, actually introduced a bunch of new bugs, causing conflicts with audio devices, Bluetooth connections, webcams, and more.
However, there's been some progress. On January 28, Microsoft released an optional preview update for Windows 24H2 that squashed a number of bugs, including some new ones from the January 14 update and others that had been around since last year, some as old as October. The Patch Tuesday updates for February and March further addressed some of the ongoing glitches.

Another round of bugs after all that testing? 😅 At this point, it feels like Microsoft's 'rock-solid stability' is just a marketing buzzword. I'm still dealing with random File Explorer crashes. Maybe they should focus less on new AI fluff and more on core functionality?
SMH Microsoft...even after all these patches my Explorer still crashes weekly 🤦♂️ When will they prioritize stability over adding shiny AI gimmicks?
Ugh, Windows 11 24H2 sounds like a mixed bag! 😩 The AI upgrades are cool, but those lingering bugs are such a headache. Anyone else dealing with File Explorer crashes?
This update was supposed to be a game changer, but it's been a headache! 😩 The bugs are driving me nuts, especially with the new File Explorer. It's slower than ever, and Copilot AI? More like Copilot Annoyance! Microsoft, get your act together! 😂
