Public frustration with US tech giants is rising as layoffs persist despite profit surges. A survey shows 69% support requiring AI companies to transfer 50% equity to a sovereign wealth fund for public benefit. With up to 15 million jobs at risk from automation, such redistribution aims to ease unemployment anxiety. Legislation is advancing to prevent AI monopoly by Silicon Valley elites, though balancing financial returns and strategic goals remains challenging.
