Alibaba Qwen team launched open-weight image model Qwen-Image-2.1, featuring 7B parameters that outperform many closed-source models on consumer GPUs like RTX 3090. Key capabilities include generating RGBA images for easy object editing, merging up to ten reference images, and precise local modifications via masks. The model is available on Hugging Face, GitHub, and ModelScope with a free online demo.
