PICO-XR’s official Weibo account announced that the highly anticipated PICO Space Pro head-mounted display will go on sale on September 2nd at 14:30 under the theme of “Start a New Spatial Experience.” The device is believed to be the earlier codenamed “Project Swan” model exposed in public SDKs. It adopts a woven headband design similar to Apple’s Vision Pro and a light-blocking pad layout akin to Samsung Galaxy XR, with an external module whose purpose remains unclear (possibly a battery or computing unit). It includes controllers matching Pico4Ultra’s design that support Meta Quest’s drawing boundary feature, though their inclusion as standard equipment has not been confirmed. The headset features high-resolution 4000 PPI micro-OLED displays and a dual-chip architecture featuring a custom computer vision co-processor alongside a main processor whose CPU and GPU performance is said to be twice that of the Snapdragon XR2 Gen2 used in current models like Pico4Ultra and Meta Quest3. More details will be unveiled at the launch event.
