Microsoft is testing MAI Realtime, its first native real-time voice model with bidirectional full-duplex interaction. It supports 16 languages, two natural voice styles, automatic language detection, and mid-conversation switching, allowing users to speak without waiting for the AI to finish. This marks a shift from one-way to two-way communication for Microsoft's MAI voice family.
