OpenAI launched the ChatGPT for Academic Researchers program, initially offering advanced ChatGPT with higher limits and larger context to 10,000 researchers at selected universities, expanding to 100,000. Each participant can invite four colleagues for free. Extended research features for insights from scientific journals are planned.
