Tencent Hunyuan released Hyra-1.0, a recursive self-improving AI agent for research and engineering. It outperformed benchmarks in AI for AI (NanoChat, NanoGPT, SOL-ExecBench), AI for Science (solved 29 of 55 open problems, discovered sunspot formula, designed 10-digit addition Transformer with 15 parameters, improved qubit routing 44.4%, generated better drug candidates), and AI for Fun (Go third place, 3D model generation, music composition). Hyra will be integrated into production systems.
