Apple announced Siri AI at WWDC 2026 but blamed the EU Digital Markets Act for blocking a full rollout in Europe. Apple claims EU rules would force it to let third-party assistants access user data and control apps, undermining privacy. As a result, only macOS, watchOS, and visionOS in the EU will get partial updates later this year.
