Google plans to invest up to $10 billion in AI startup Anthropic, with potential total investments reaching $40 billion. This deal would value Anthropic at $350 billion. Google will also provide substantial computing power, including 5 gigawatts and up to 1 million TPU chips over five years. Despite the deep partnership, competitive tensions exist. Anthropic is reportedly considering an IPO as early as October.
